About Me
It all began with old-fashioned piano lessons over half a century ago.
I've been involved with music to some degree all my life. After a solidly classical training through childhood, at 18 I sold the family piano (in the early 1980s) and left the South West of England, to work as a session musician in London.
Hanging around the same time as Spandau Ballet, Howard Jones, Nik Kershaw, Scritti Politti and Kajagoogoo (!) I even tell a story that I was once on stage with George Michael, which is absolutely true but not what it seems!
Slowly and steadily I've transformed from a session musician, now to the other side of the console and I'm increasingly working on digital mixing and mastering with a keen interest in Artificial Intelligence in music.
I'm now working with top of the range, industry standard hardware/software set ups and have developed my passion for helping artists just starting out. I find that's where the energy, freshness and drive is, and those are the things I've always loved about music.
